Curriculum

Adena’s Psychiatry Residency training program is tailored to fulfill current ACGME Residency Training Standards for General Adult Psychiatry. Rotation curriculum is subject to change.

PGY I:

The PGY-I year is developed to solidify your identity as a physician. You will complete 13, 4-week long blocks consisting of:

Internal Medicine	2 blocks
Outpatient Primary Care	2 blocks
Neurology	2 blocks
Inpatient Psychiatry	7 blocks

PGY II:

Inpatient Psychiatry	2 blocks
Consult-liaison Psychiatry	2 blocks
Emergency Psychiatry	2 blocks
Geriatric Psychiatry	1 block
Child Psychiatry:	2 blocks
Addiction Psychiatry	1 block
Psychiatry Selective	1 block
Electives	2 blocks

PGY III:

The PGY-III year consists of 12 months of outpatient psychiatry in both rural and urban settings. Residents spend 3 days a week at the Adena Counseling Center and 1 day a week at Southeast Healthcare Inc, in Columbus, Ohio.

Forensic Psychiatry	2 blocks
Palliative Care/Psychiatry Selective	1 block
Neuromodulation	1 block
