Adena’s Psychiatry Residency training program is tailored to fulfill current ACGME Residency Training Standards for General Adult Psychiatry. Rotation curriculum is subject to change.
PGY I:
The PGY-I year is developed to solidify your identity as a physician. You will complete 13, 4-week long blocks consisting of:

Neurology | 2 blocks |
PGY II:
Consult Liaison Psychiatry | 2 blocks |
Emergency Psychiatry | 2 blocks |
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry | 2 blocks |
Geriatric Psychiatry | 1 block |
Addiction Psychiatry | 1 block |
Inpatient Psychiatry | 2 blocks |
Selective: Consult Liaison or Inpatient Psychiatry | 1 block |
Elective | 1 block |
PGY III:
The PGY-III year consists of 12 months of outpatient psychiatry in both rural and urban settings. Residents spend 3 days a week at the Adena Counseling Center and 1 day a week at Southeast Healthcare Inc, in Columbus, Ohio.”
