A tradition of compassionate care
For seven decades, Adena Fayette Medical Center has been a part of your community. We understand the importance good health plays in your life and we continually strive to provide you with the care you need to life your best life.
Formerly the Fayette County Memorial Hospital, Adena Fayette Medical Center’s tradition of caring began in 1944 with a small group of civic-minded people sought to provide the community with a modern, well equipped hospital. Memorial Hospital, named in honor of the county’s servicemen and women of all wars, opened on May 8, 1950.
For decades, Fayette County Memorial Hospital was a county owned, non-profit hospital. In 2018, the hospital began a collaboration and partnership with Adena Health System. In 2021, Fayette County Memorial Hospital joined Adena Health System and became Adena Fayette Medical Center.
As a member of one of central Ohio’s premier health systems, our tradition of providing compassionate care continues to help thousands of people every year. Though we’ve grown in size and services, we still provide the gentle, personal touch that is our heritage. Adena Fayette Medical Center is made up of more than 300 highly skilled, compassionate health care professionals who never forget the healing power of human touch. Over the years, we have added new medical specialties, equipment, technology, facilities and staff to continue to provide quality patient care and to meet the changing needs of health care and our patients.
