Allergy & Immunology FAQs

Allergy and Immunology

What do I do about an existing appointment?

All new patient and follow-up established patient appointments have been canceled.  All previously scheduled patients are being contacted to connect them with the options for ongoing care, including consulting with their primary care provider or contacting one of the community allergy and immunology practices listed below.

Patients are encouraged to reach out to their primary care providers regarding the best next steps for their care.

For patients receiving immunotherapy injections (allergy shots) or biologic medications, patients should contact the Allergy and Immunology Clinic at (740) 779-2873 to make arrangements for transfer of medication to receiving provider.

If my appointment is cancelled, why am I getting appointment reminders?

We are aware that patients were receiving appointment reminder notices via MyChart and Adena’s appointment reminder system.  We have worked with our partners at OSU to update the system and reminders should no longer be received.

How can I obtain a copy of my medical records?

Patients may go to any Adena Health location or complete a release of records online. Patients may also access their latest appointment and prescription information through MyChart

What should I do if I don’t have a primary care provider?

Patients who do not have a primary care provider can contact (740) 779-FIND to be connected with a primary care provider closest to them
