Return to the ’70s at Adena Pike Medical Center Disco Ball Gala
For those who lived through it, you’ll probably never forget the age of disco.
The Adena Health Foundation is offering you the chance through Adena Pike Medical Center’s 2023 Disco Ball Gala to relive the 1970s or, for those in younger generations, immerse yourself for the first time in the era in which disco ruled. Formerly known as the Festival of Trees, this year’s event has been moved earlier in the year, taking place from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, August 26, at Twin Lakes Resort, 273 Tackett Road in Piketon.
There’s no shortage of fun to be had, with Howl at the Moon Dueling Pianos headlining the evening. There also will be time for socializing with friends and neighbors, dinner catered by The Scioto Ribber, live and silent auctions, and the opportunity to dust off those boogie shoes on the dance floor. Dress is semi-formal, but ‘70s-inspired costumes also will be welcome.
Proceeds from the annual gala go toward equipment that bolsters patient care and the patient experience. This year, that will include purchase of an enhanced call light system for Adena Pike Medical Center to replace two existing, older systems now in use. The new system will send all call button requests to a single central monitoring station, helping caregivers respond even more quickly to patient needs, further improving patient outcomes.
Individual tickets for the gala are $100. Tickets, as well as sponsorships for businesses that may be interesting in supporting the event, may be ordered online at Adena.org/pike-gala.
