Paint Creek Palooza Raises Record Amount for Scholarship

More than 90 kayakers made their way down the water during the fourth annual Paint Creek Palooza this summer on their way to raising a record amount for the Adena Health Foundation’s Athlete of the Month Scholarship Fund.

Hosted by Adena Sports Medicine and Water's Edge Canoe Livery, the six-mile trip down the scenic Paint Creek allowed participants to float at their own pace, or compete in non-mandatory pit stop challenges for a chance to win prizes. Through support from event donors and participants, this year’s Paint Creek Palooza raised a record-high total of $9,000.

The Foundation’s Athlete of the Month Scholarship Fund awards outstanding high school male and female senior athletes, who excel in athletics as well as exemplify a commitment to academics and their communities.
