Local Club Pays Tribute to Friend Through Cancer Center Donation

Earlier this month, members of the Cigar Band of Chillicothe presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to the Adena Health Foundation. This marked the eighth consecutive year the club has made a donation to our Foundation’s Cancer Fund.
The donation comes from the club’s Annual Bike Night For Mike. The group organizes this event each year in honor of Mike Porter, a former club member and Adena patient who passed away due to cancer. The Cigar Band, which is heavily involved in supporting local charities, non-profit organizations and community events, meets monthly for fellowship and cigar education.
