Our new hybrid operating room allows Adena Heart and Vascular to perform structural heart and complex cardiovascular cases with a multidisciplinary approach involving anesthesia, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, interventional, and invasive cardiology. Such hybrid procedures include trans-catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), endovascular thoracic (TEVAR) or abdominal (EVAR) complex coronary cases requiring hemodynamic support.

The hybrid operating room is not only a state-of-the-art operating room, but has the latest in imaging technology - enabling more advanced minimally invasive procedures right here at home. Procedures performed using a hybrid operating room, has also shown a reduced risk of surgical complications and decreased patient recovery times.

Cardiac rehabilitation program

Our cardiac rehabilitation program helps to decrease the risk of a heart attack recurrence by 28 percent. This initiative offers small class sizes and individualized services to those with a range of cardiac conditions, including open-heart surgery, stent placement, heart attack, and pulmonary problems. Participants also have the opportunity to develop relationships with other heart patients and benefit from a customized exercise program, nutritional counseling, and lifestyle management.
