October is breast cancer awareness month, and it's estimated that one in every eight of the female population will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. A mammogram is one of the best ways to catch breast cancer in its earliest stages – when breast cancer is most treatable. Adena Health is helping to raise awareness of the symptoms, prevention, screenings and treatment of breast cancer by hosting a 5k walk/run on October 5.

Proceeds from the event will support the Adena Health Foundation’s cancer fund.
