Senior Social: APMC Provides Weekly Meal for Seniors

Did you know that every Friday, Adena Pike Medical Center (APMC) offers seniors a full meal for only $5? 

Open to all seniors, no RSVP or registration required, APMC has been hosting its Senior Socials now for seven years. This is an opportunity for seniors to enjoy a fun evening with their peers to mix and mingle and enjoy each other’s company over a meal provided by APMC Nutritional Services. 

“The Senior Social has been going on since before the merge between Pike Community Hospital and Adena,” explained Heather Dalton, Nutrition Manager. 

The socials run from 5-6 p.m. and are in the APMC Cafeteria, located at 100 Dawn Lane in Waverly. Each $5 dinner includes an entree, a side salad, muffin, drink and dessert. Meal entrees vary weekly.

“The Social has been more directed to seniors in the community or surrounding areas, however we will support and serve anyone of any age,” added Dalton.
