Family Medicine Program
Welcome and thank you so much for your interest in the Adena Family Medicine Residency Program.
We are an ACGME accredited 5/5/5 program for a total compliment of 15 residents. Our ideal candidates have a passion for rural medicine and have a calling to serve their communities with integrity and compassion. We accept both allopathic and osteopathic graduates.
Here at Adena, we are very proud of our culture. Our program becomes a home away from home and our residents become a part of our own family over the course of their training. Every resident has a voice in our program and we are constantly evolving and using resident feedback in pursuit of the absolute best educational experience on both an individual and program level.
Over the three years of training, our residents receive an outstanding multidisciplinary education to prepare them for a successful career in medicine. Every resident physician’s career goals are unique and we truly tailor and guide their education to help achieve those goals over their years at Adena. The faculty and I are passionate about medical education and training our residents to become exemplary physicians who will serve their communities with excellence.
Our graduates are practicing locally and across the country with successful careers within the broad range of family medicine. These include practices in full spectrum family medicine and hospitalist medicine as well as graduates who have successfully pursued fellowships in geriatrics, sports medicine and palliative care.
